HELLO WOLVERINE BAND!

 

It’s a huge weekend for us, with the exciting JMU competition on Saturday. It’ll be a long, great day. Kids should bring snacks for the bus, a packed lunch, plus $10 or so for a concessions dinner at the stadium. 

 

9:30am         Doors open

10:30am       Rehearsal

12 noon       Chaperones & Pit Crew report

12:30pm       Load buses

1:00pm         Leave WPHS

2:30pm         Arrive at Dinosaurland

3:30pm         Eat bag lunch in park at Dinosaurland

4:00pm         Leave Dinosaurland

5:00pm         Check in at JMU

5:30pm         Warm up

7:00pm         Leave warm up area

7:30pm         Perform

8:00pm         Change into warm street clothes

8:30pm         In stands with warm street clothes and eat dinner

10:15pm       JMU band performs

10:30pm       Awards

11:15pm       Leave for WPHS

1:15am         Arrive at WPHS

LOOKING AHEAD TO OCTOBER 28TH

We’ve got the schedule now for our VBODA competition at Monticello High School near Charlottesville. We’ll rehearse at 10am, load at noon, perform at 5:15pm, and return home by a very reasonable 10pm. :)

 

SENIOR BUTTONS … It’s a tradition to give the parents of seniors a photo “button” to wear to the last few games and competitions. If you haven’t seen it yet, ask your senior for it!


LAST CALL FOR CONCERT FITTINGS … There are perhaps two dozen students who have not yet been fitted for their concert uniforms. The very last fitting will be Wednesday after school, from 3-4pm. Questions? Contact ConcertUniforms@WolverineBand.com

Love our Wolverine Band program? Support the band booster organization at the following levels and you’ll be recognized in our concert programs:


Musician        $100 donation

Chair              $150 donation

Soloist          $250 donation

Director         $500 donation


Any donations you’ve already made for this school year will be included. For example, if you already gave the suggested $50 contribution for marching band, an additional $50 donation puts you at the “musician” level. Contact treasurer@wolverineband.com with questions.
